Ingredients
Scale
Salmon and Seasoning
- 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Bang Bang Sauce
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons sriracha sauce
- 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
Garnish (optional)
- Chopped green onions
- Sesame seeds
Instructions
- Preheat oven and prepare pan: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and allow easy cleanup.
- Make the Bang Bang sauce: In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, sriracha, sweet chili sauce, honey, lime juice, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Mix until the sauce is smooth and well blended.
- Prepare the salmon fillets: Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels to help the sauce adhere better and ensure even cooking. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
- Apply sauce and bake: Place the salmon fillets skin-side down on the lined baking sheet. Spoon or brush a generous layer of the Bang Bang sauce over the top of each fillet, reserving a small amount for finishing.
- Bake the salmon: Bake in the preheated oven for 12–15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
- Broil to caramelize: (Optional) Broil for the last 1–2 minutes to caramelize the sauce and add a slight crispness on top.
- Garnish and serve: Drizzle the reserved sauce over the cooked salmon fillets. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds, if desired, then serve immediately.
Notes
- For a crispier texture, pan-sear the salmon before baking or cook it entirely on the stovetop.
- You can swap salmon for shrimp or chicken using the same Bang Bang sauce.
- Check labels on sauces to ensure they are gluten-free if needed.
- Adjust spice levels by modifying the amount of sriracha to your preference.
