Blackberry Glaze:
- 1 cup fresh or frozen blackberries
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red chili flakes (or to taste)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Garnish:
- Green onions and sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Tofu Preparation: Press tofu for at least 20 minutes, then cut into cubes. Toss with cornstarch.
- Cooking Tofu: Cook tofu in olive oil until crispy, about 8–10 minutes.
- Make Glaze: Simmer blackberries, maple syrup, soy sauce, rice vinegar, garlic, pepper, chili flakes, and salt until thickened.
- Coat Tofu: Pour glaze over crispy tofu, cook for another 1–2 minutes.
- Garnish and Serve: Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds, serve hot over rice or noodles.
