Description

Celebrate any occasion with this vibrant and refreshing Celebration Fruit Punch, a delightful mix of cranberry juice, sparkling apple juice, ginger ale, fresh fruits, and optional white rum for a festive twist. Perfectly chilled and garnished with slices of orange, lemon, strawberries, raspberries, and fresh mint leaves, this easy-to-make punch is sure to be a hit at parties and gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale

Liquid Ingredients

  • 4 cups (1 L / 1 qt) cranberry juice or cranberry pomegranate juice, chilled (NOT light)
  • 2 cups (500 ml) ginger ale, chilled (not ginger beer)
  • 4 cups (1 L / 1 qt) sparkling apple juice, chilled (non-alcoholic)
  • 1 1/2 cups (375 ml) white rum (Bacardi) (can omit)

Fresh Fruit

  • 1 orange, halved, sliced then halved again
  • 1 small lemon, sliced into rounds
  • 1 cup strawberries, halved or quartered
  • 1/2 cup raspberries

Herbs and Garnish

  • 3/4 cup mint leaves

Other

  • Ice, if desired (be mindful of dilution, consider using no-melt ice cubes)

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: Pour the cranberry juice, ginger ale, sparkling apple juice, and white rum (if using) into a large jug, punch bowl, or trifle dish.
  2. Add Fresh Fruit and Mint: Add the sliced orange, lemon rounds, halved or quartered strawberries, raspberries, and mint leaves into the liquid mixture. Stir gently to combine, being careful not to agitate too much to preserve the fizz.
  3. Serve Immediately: Serve the punch right away using a ladle or mugs to scoop. To maintain the bubbles in the sparkling juices, it’s best to make this punch just before serving. Optionally add ice or no-melt ice cubes to keep it chilled without diluting.

Notes

  • Use chilled juices to keep the punch cold and refreshing without relying heavily on ice, which can dilute the flavor.
  • White rum is optional and can be omitted for a family-friendly, non-alcoholic punch.
  • Do not use light cranberry juice to maintain the punch’s robust flavor and color.
  • Ginger ale is preferred over ginger beer for this recipe to balance sweetness and bubbles without adding spice.
  • Consider using no-melt ice cubes to keep the drink cold while preserving its flavors.
