Description
Delightful and visually stunning Cheesecake Stuffed Strawberries featuring creamy cheesecake filling piped into fresh strawberries, perfect for a no-bake, elegant dessert or party treat.
Ingredients
Scale
Cheesecake Filling
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Fruit
- 20 large strawberries, washed
Instructions
- Prepare the cheesecake filling: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy. Add the powdered sugar, sour cream, and vanilla extract, then beat everything together well until fully combined and fluffy.
- Fill the piping bag: Transfer the prepared cheesecake filling into a piping bag fitted with a star tip to allow for decorative filling of the strawberries.
- Prepare the strawberries: Cut the tops off the strawberries to remove the green stems and leaves, creating a flat surface for the strawberries to stand upright. Carefully slice each strawberry vertically into halves without cutting all the way through the base, then further cut each half into 3 wedges, again not cutting through the base, creating six petal-like segments. Gently press inside the center of each strawberry to make room for the filling.
- Pipe the filling: Carefully pipe the cheesecake filling into the center of each strawberry, filling enough so the petals flare out and the creamy filling is visible in between the petals and on top, enhancing both the look and taste.
- Serve or chill: You can serve the cheesecake stuffed strawberries immediately for a fresh taste or chill them in the refrigerator for 1 to 2 hours to allow the filling to firm up slightly before serving.
Notes
- Use room temperature cream cheese for smoother mixing.
- Chilling the strawberries after filling makes them easier to handle and enhances flavor.
- Use fresh, firm strawberries for best appearance and taste.
- These can be prepared a few hours ahead but are best served the same day.
- Variations: Add lemon zest or a sprinkle of cinnamon to the filling for added flavor.
