Description

Chocolate Peanut Butter Shots are a delicious layered adult treat combining creamy peanut butter and rich chocolate flavors in a gelatin-based vodka-infused shot. These layered jello shots are perfect for parties, featuring a smooth blend of chocolate fudge and peanut butter, topped with a drizzle of chocolate syrup.

Ingredients

Scale

Gelatin Mixture

  • 2 cups Water
  • 3 Envelopes Unflavored Gelatin
  • 1 cup Vodka
  • 1/4 cup Torani Vanilla Syrup

Peanut Butter Layer

  • 1/2 cup Peanut Butter

Chocolate Layer

  • 1/2 cup Hershey’s Chocolate Fudge Syrup

Peanut Butter Frosting

  • 3/4 cup Peanut Butter
  • 1 stick Butter (softened)
  • 1 1/2 to 2 cups Powdered Sugar

Topping

  • Chocolate Syrup (to drizzle on top)

Instructions

  1. Bloom the Gelatin: Pour the water into a large measuring cup with a spout. Sprinkle the unflavored gelatin evenly over the water and let it bloom for about 15 minutes until it is completely dissolved and no lumps remain, forming a smooth gelatin base.
  2. Mix Vodka and Flavorings: Stir the vodka and Torani vanilla syrup into the gelatin mixture until fully incorporated. Then, divide the gelatin mixture evenly into two separate bowls. Add 1/2 cup peanut butter to one bowl and stir thoroughly to blend it completely. Add 1/2 cup Hershey’s chocolate fudge syrup to the other bowl and mix well until smooth.
  3. Prepare the Bottom Chocolate Layer: Pour the chocolate fudge gelatin mixture carefully into the bottom of each shot glass, filling about one-quarter of the glass. Place the shot glasses in the refrigerator and chill for 1 hour to allow this layer to set firmly.
  4. Add the Peanut Butter Layer: Once the chocolate layer is set, remove the glasses from the refrigerator and spoon the peanut butter gelatin mixture on top, filling the glass up to about three-quarters full. Return the glasses to the refrigerator and chill for an additional 30 minutes to let this layer firm up.
  5. Top with More Chocolate Layer: After chilling, add a final layer of the chocolate fudge gelatin mixture to fill the shot glasses completely. Put the glasses back in the refrigerator and chill for 1 more hour until fully set and firm.
  6. Prepare Peanut Butter Frosting: In a separate bowl, cream together the softened butter and 3/4 cup peanut butter until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar (1 1/2 to 2 cups) to achieve a thick, spreadable consistency suitable for piping or dolloping.
  7. Decorate and Serve: Once all the gelatin layers are fully set, top each shot with a small dollop or swirl of the peanut butter frosting. Drizzle chocolate syrup over the tops for added flavor and a beautiful finish. Serve chilled and enjoy responsibly.

Notes

  • Use shot glasses that hold approximately 1 to 1.5 ounces each for ease in layering and serving.
  • Make sure the gelatin is fully dissolved and no lumps remain to ensure smooth layers.
  • Allow each layer to properly set in the refrigerator before adding the next for clean, distinct layers.
  • Adjust the amount of powdered sugar in the frosting to your desired sweetness and consistency.
  • Keep the shots refrigerated until serving, as they contain gelatin and will soften at room temperature.
  • Alcohol content can be adjusted by varying the vodka quantity but affects the firmness of the gelatin layers.
