For Patties:

- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Additional:

Instructions
- Caramelize the Onions: Heat 1 tablespoon of butter and vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook onions until golden, about 20–25 minutes. Set aside.
- Prepare the Patties: Season beef with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Form into 4 patties and cook in the skillet until done, about 3–4 minutes per side. Set aside.
- Assemble the Sandwiches: Layer bread, cheese, patty, caramelized onions, more cheese, and bread. Grill in butter until golden and cheese melts, about 3–4 minutes per side.
- Serve: Slice and enjoy warm.
