Description

This Crispy Honey Garlic Glazed Salmon recipe features perfectly seared salmon fillets with a luscious, sweet and savory honey garlic glaze. Cooked in a skillet to achieve crispy skin and tender, flavorful flesh, this dish is quick to prepare and ideal for a nutritious weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale

Salmon

  • 4 skin-on salmon fillets

Marinade & Glaze

  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Garnish

  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the marinade: In a small bowl, whisk together honey, low-sodium soy sauce, and minced garlic until fully combined to create the flavorful glaze.
  2. Heat the skillet: Place a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat and add the olive oil. Heat until the oil is hot and shimmering, ready for the salmon.
  3. Sear the salmon: Carefully place the salmon fillets skin-side down into the hot skillet. Cook undisturbed for 4-5 minutes to achieve a crispy, golden skin. Then flip the fillets using a spatula to avoid breaking the flesh.
  4. Add glaze and cook: Pour the prepared honey garlic marinade over the salmon fillets. Continue cooking for another 3-4 minutes, occasionally spooning the glaze over the fish to build layers of flavor and a sticky finish.
  5. Serve: Remove the skillet from heat. Garnish the glazed salmon with chopped green onions and serve immediately, enjoying the perfect balance of crispy skin and sweet-savory glaze.

Notes

  • Make sure not to move the salmon while searing skin-side down to ensure crispiness.
  • Use a fish spatula for easier flipping to prevent the fillets from falling apart.
  • The glaze can burn quickly due to honey, so keep a close eye while cooking the second side.
  • Serve with steamed vegetables or rice for a complete meal.
