Ingredients
Scale
Yogurt Mixture
- 1 cup plain Greek yogurt (or vanilla yogurt for sweetness)
- 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup (optional, for added sweetness)
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract (optional, for flavor enhancement)
Mix-Ins
- 1/2 cup fresh blueberries
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips (or chopped dark chocolate)
Instructions
- Prepare the Yogurt Base: In a mixing bowl, combine the Greek yogurt with honey or maple syrup and vanilla extract if using. Stir well until smooth and evenly blended to create a flavorful base.
- Add Blueberries and Chocolate: Gently fold in the fresh blueberries and dark chocolate chips to the yogurt mixture, distributing them evenly without breaking the blueberries.
- Portion the Mixture: Using a spoon or small cookie scoop, drop bite-sized portions of the yogurt mixture onto a parchment-lined baking sheet or tray, spacing them slightly apart to prevent sticking.
- Freeze the Bites: Place the tray in the freezer and freeze for at least 2 hours, or until the yogurt bites are solid and firm to the touch.
- Serve and Store: Once frozen, transfer the bites to an airtight container or freezer bag for convenience. Keep frozen until ready to enjoy as a cool, healthy snack.
Notes
- Use vanilla Greek yogurt instead of plain if you prefer a sweeter bite without adding honey.
- Fresh or frozen blueberries can be used; just thaw frozen berries before mixing.
- Dark chocolate chips can be substituted with chopped dark chocolate for a richer texture.
- Store leftovers in the freezer for up to 2 weeks to maintain freshness.
- For a dairy-free version, substitute Greek yogurt with a plant-based yogurt alternative.
