Slider Patties

  • 1 lb ground beef (80% lean, 20% fat for juicy burgers)

  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Mix the burger ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently to evenly incorporate all ingredients without overworking the meat to maintain tenderness.
  2. Form the patties: Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions. Shape each portion into a round patty slightly larger than the slider buns to ensure a good fit once cooked.
  3. Cook the patties: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for 3 to 4 minutes on each side until fully cooked through. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cover the skillet to allow the cheese to melt perfectly.
  4. Toast the buns: Brush the slider buns with melted butter and toast them in a separate skillet over medium heat until golden brown, approximately 1 to 2 minutes. This adds flavor and prevents sogginess.
