Ingredients
Scale
Slider Patties
- 1 lb ground beef (80% lean, 20% fat for juicy burgers)
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 large egg
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Slider Buns and Toppings
- 8 slider buns (mini burger buns)
- 8 slices cheddar cheese (or your favorite cheese)
- 2 tbsp butter (melted, for brushing the buns)
- Optional Toppings: Lettuce (shredded), Tomato (sliced), Pickles, Ketchup, Mustard
Instructions
- Mix the burger ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently to evenly incorporate all ingredients without overworking the meat to maintain tenderness.
- Form the patties: Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions. Shape each portion into a round patty slightly larger than the slider buns to ensure a good fit once cooked.
- Cook the patties: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for 3 to 4 minutes on each side until fully cooked through. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cover the skillet to allow the cheese to melt perfectly.
- Toast the buns: Brush the slider buns with melted butter and toast them in a separate skillet over medium heat until golden brown, approximately 1 to 2 minutes. This adds flavor and prevents sogginess.
- Assemble the sliders: Place each cheesy patty on the bottom half of a toasted bun. Add your preferred toppings such as shredded lettuce, sliced tomato, pickles, ketchup, or mustard. Finish by placing the top halves of the buns on each slider and serve immediately while warm.
Notes
- Use 80/20 ground beef for juicy and flavorful patties.
- Do not overmix the meat to keep burgers tender.
- Covering the skillet when melting cheese helps it melt evenly.
- Toaster oven or oven broiler can also be used to toast buns if preferred.
- Slider buns are smaller than regular burger buns, perfect for party snacks or kid-friendly portions.
