Description

Create beautiful and refreshing edible flower ice cubes that add a touch of elegance to your beverages. These ice cubes are easy to make and perfect for enhancing drinks at parties or relaxing gatherings with their natural floral charm.

Ingredients

Ingredients

  • Edible Flowers – a handful, fresh and clean (such as pansies, violets, nasturtiums, or marigolds)
  • Water – enough to fill the silicone ice cube tray
  • Silicone Ice Cube Tray – 1 tray (4 cubes capacity)

Instructions

  1. Place Flowers: Gently place at least one edible flower inside each compartment of the silicone ice cube tray, ensuring flowers fit well without overlap for best visual appeal.
  2. Add Water: Pour water carefully over the flowers in each mold, making sure to press flowers down if they float back up so they are fully submerged.
  3. Cover Tray: If your silicone ice cube tray has a lid, cover it to prevent any freezer odors from mixing with the cubes.
  4. Freeze: Place the tray in the freezer and allow to freeze solid for at least 3 hours to ensure the cubes are fully set.
  5. Remove and Use: After freezing, remove the ice cubes from the silicone mold carefully. Use the flower ice cubes immediately in drinks or store them in a freezer-safe container for later use.

Notes

  • Use only edible flowers that are pesticide-free and safe for consumption.
  • Fresh flowers work best; avoid wilting or old flowers for clear and vibrant ice cubes.
  • These ice cubes add a decorative and refreshing element primarily for cold beverages like water, lemonade, or cocktails.
  • Store unused ice cubes in airtight freezer bags to prevent freezer burn or odors.
