Ingredients
Scale
Cheeses
- 1 8-ounce wheel of brie
- 4 ounces Manchego cheese, sliced into 1/4 inch triangles
- 5 ounces cheddar cheese, sliced into 1/4 inch pieces
Meats
- 3 ounces salami slices
Crackers and Breadsticks
- 1 cup seedy crackers
- 8 Grissini breadsticks (halved if necessary)
Fruits
- 2 cups black grapes
- 3 figs, halved
- 1 cup berries (blackberries, raspberries, and blueberries)
Pickles and Olives
- 1/2 cup Castelvetrano olives
- 1/4 cup gherkins
Nuts and Dried Fruit
- 1 tablespoon pepitas
- 1 tablespoon dried cranberries
- 1/4 cup dried ginger pieces
Instructions
- Arrange the Brie: Place the wheel of brie in one corner of a large wooden board or appetizer tray. Cut a few triangles of brie for easy serving.
- Place Manchego and Cheddar: Arrange the sliced Manchego and cheddar cheeses on the opposite side of the board, leaving about an inch or two of empty space between the cheeses and the board’s edge to create balance.
- Add Crackers and Breadsticks: Position your seedy crackers and Grissini breadsticks in the space between the cheeses to allow easy access and pleasing visual separation.
- Fold and Arrange Salami: Fold each slice of salami into quarters and create a neat line of these folded pieces alongside the brie cheese for a tidy presentation.
- Cluster the Fruits: Fill larger holes on the board with clusters of black grapes, create a group of halved figs, and line the edges with a mix of berries to add vibrant colors and texture variety.
- Group Nuts and Pickles: Add the pepitas in small groupings around the board, and place the gherkins and Castelvetrano olives together in their own section for contrast in flavor and visual appeal.
- Fill Empty Spaces: Use the dried ginger pieces, dried cranberries, and additional pepitas to fill any remaining gaps, ensuring the board looks full and inviting.
- Final Touch: Sprinkle a few pepitas and dried cranberries directly on top of the brie for decorative flair and added texture.
- Serve: Serve the charcuterie board immediately to maintain freshness and optimal flavor experience.
