Description

A fresh and zesty Fish Taco Slaw that perfectly complements air fryer fish tacos, combining crunchy coleslaw mix with bright lime juice, cilantro, and a touch of jalapeño for a little heat. This quick and easy slaw adds a refreshing, flavorful crunch to your favorite taco meal.

Ingredients

Scale

Slaw Mix

  • 1 (14-ounce) bag coleslaw mix
  • ¼ cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • ¼ cup cilantro, finely chopped
  • 1 jalapeño, finely chopped (optional)

Dressing & Seasoning

  • 1 lime, juiced
  • ½ teaspoon salt, or to taste

Instructions

  1. Combine ingredients: Add the coleslaw mix, thinly sliced red onion, finely chopped cilantro, and jalapeño (if using) into a large mixing bowl.
  2. Add lime and salt: Pour the freshly squeezed lime juice over the vegetables and sprinkle with salt to your preference.
  3. Toss to mix: Thoroughly toss all the ingredients together until they are well combined and evenly coated with lime juice and salt.
  4. Serve or refrigerate: Use the slaw immediately as a fresh topping for Air Fryer Fish Tacos or store it in the refrigerator until ready to serve to maintain crispness and flavor.

Notes

  • You can adjust the heat level by adding more or less jalapeño, or omit it for a milder flavor.
  • Best served fresh but can be refrigerated up to 24 hours. Stir before serving if stored.
  • For extra creaminess, consider adding a tablespoon of mayonnaise or Greek yogurt if desired.
  • Try adding diced avocado or radishes for additional texture and flavor variations.
