These Garlic Bread Taco Bites combine the savory flavors of seasoned ground beef and melted cheddar cheese with the irresistible aroma of garlic butter brushed on fluffy biscuit dough. Perfect as a crowd-pleasing appetizer or game day snack, these taco bites are easy to prepare and baked to golden perfection. Serve warm with optional sour cream or salsa for a delightful bite-sized treat everyone will love.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning mix
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can (8 count) refrigerated biscuit dough

For Garlic Butter

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

Optional Toppings

  • Sour cream for topping
  • Salsa for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) to get it ready for baking the taco bites.
  2. Cook the beef: In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess grease to avoid sogginess.
  3. Season the beef: Stir in the taco seasoning and 1/4 cup water into the browned beef. Let it simmer for 3–4 minutes until the mixture thickens.
  4. Prepare biscuit cups: Separate the biscuit dough and flatten each biscuit into a 3-inch circle. Place each circle into a greased mini muffin tin, gently pressing the dough into each cup to form a base.
  5. Assemble taco bites: Spoon a portion of the taco meat into each biscuit cup and sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  6. Make garlic butter: Mix the melted butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley in a small bowl. Brush this mixture generously over the tops of the taco bites.
  7. Bake: Bake the assembled bites for 12–15 minutes until the biscuit edges turn golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Serve: Allow the bites to cool slightly before removing them from the muffin tin. Serve warm with optional sour cream or salsa for dipping.

Notes

  • You can substitute ground beef with ground turkey or plant-based meat alternatives for a different protein option.
  • Add chopped jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce to the beef mixture if you prefer a spicier bite.
  • These taco bites freeze well for up to one month; reheat before serving.
