Instructions
- Melt the butter: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
- Add garlic: Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Stir in flour: Stir in flour and cook for another minute to form a roux.
- Add cream: Slowly whisk in heavy cream, ensuring no lumps form.
- Simmer: Bring to a gentle simmer and cook for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Add cheese and seasonings: Add Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using. Stir until smooth.
