Instructions

  3. Prepare the Pumpkin Sauce: Stir in the canned pumpkin puree and heavy cream into the skillet with the garlic, mixing well until the sauce is smooth and evenly combined.
  4. Season the Sauce: Add the grated Parmesan cheese, salt, black pepper, ground nutmeg, and crushed red pepper flakes if using. Stir thoroughly and let the sauce simmer gently for 5–6 minutes until it thickens slightly and the flavors meld together.
  5. Combine Gnocchi and Sage: Add the cooked gnocchi along with the chopped fresh or dried sage to the sauce. Toss everything together gently to coat the gnocchi evenly with the creamy pumpkin sauce.
