Flavorings:

  • 1/2 teaspoon bubble gum flavoring
  • Food coloring (optional)

For Dusting:

  • Cornstarch or powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Melt the Gum Base: In a double boiler, melt the gum base until fully liquefied.
  2. Combine Ingredients: Stir in corn syrup, glycerin, citric acid, and bubble gum flavoring until well combined. Add food coloring if desired.
  3. Add Powdered Sugar: Remove from heat and gradually knead in powdered sugar until a dough-like consistency forms.
  4. Knead and Shape: Dust hands and work surface with powdered sugar, knead the gum until smooth. Shape into small logs or balls.
  5. Rest and Store: Let the gum rest for at least 30 minutes before chewing. Store wrapped in wax paper in an airtight container.
