Ingredients
Scale
Chicken Nuggets:
- 1 ½ pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 2 cups breadcrumbs (preferably panko for extra crunch)
- cooking oil for frying
Instructions
- Prepare Coating: In a shallow bowl, whisk together the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Beat Eggs: In a separate bowl, beat the eggs with the milk.
- Coat Chicken: Dredge each chicken piece in the flour mixture, then dip into the egg mixture, and finally coat with breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere.
- Fry Nuggets: Heat oil in a deep skillet or saucepan over medium heat. Fry the chicken nuggets in batches, cooking for 3 to 4 minutes per side or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Serve: Remove and drain on a paper towel-lined plate. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
- For a healthier option, bake the nuggets at 400°F for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway through, or cook them in an air fryer at 375°F for 15 minutes.
- You can also use chicken thighs for juicier nuggets.
