Instructions
- Preheat the oven and prepare the pan: Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
- Mix the dry ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, all-purpose flour, baking soda, salt, rolled oats, and brown sugar (or honey).
- Add the wet ingredients: Pour in the buttermilk and melted butter, stirring until the dough forms. Add more buttermilk if needed.
- Bake the bread: Transfer the dough to the loaf pan, sprinkle with oats, and bake for 35-40 minutes until golden and cooked through.
