Ingredients
Scale
Watermelon Layer
- 3 oz Watermelon Jello
- ¾ cup Water (½ cup boiling hot + ¼ cup cold)
- ½ cup Watermelon Liquor
White Creamy Layer
- 1 packet (0.25 oz) Gelatin
- 1 12 oz can Condensed milk
- ½ cup Whipped Vodka
- ½ cup Irish Cream
Orange Layer
- 3 oz Orange Jello
- 1 ½ cups Water (1 cup boiling hot + ½ cup cold)
- ½ cup Jameson Irish Whiskey
Instructions
- Prepare the Watermelon Layer: In a mixing bowl, dissolve the 3 oz of watermelon jello into ½ cup boiling hot water, stirring until fully dissolved. Stir in ¼ cup cold water and ½ cup watermelon liquor. Pour this mixture evenly into 12 small shot glasses or molds. Refrigerate for about 15-20 minutes until it begins to set but is not fully firm.
- Prepare the Creamy Middle Layer: Sprinkle 1 packet of gelatin over ¼ cup cold water and let it bloom for 5 minutes. In a small saucepan, gently warm the gelatin mixture just until dissolved (do not boil). In a separate bowl, mix condensed milk, whipped vodka, and Irish cream. Slowly add the dissolved gelatin and stir until well combined. Carefully layer this creamy mixture over the partially set watermelon jello in each shot glass. Return to the refrigerator and chill for an additional 20 minutes to set.
- Prepare the Orange Layer: Dissolve 3 oz orange jello into 1 cup boiling hot water, stirring until completely dissolved. Add ½ cup cold water and ½ cup Jameson Irish whiskey, mixing well. Pour this orange jello mixture gently over the white creamy layer, ensuring it does not mix. Refrigerate the assembled shots for another 1-2 hours or until fully set before serving.
Notes
- Use small clear shot glasses or silicone molds to best display the layered colors.
- Pour each layer slowly and carefully to prevent mixing of colors.
- The whipping vodka adds a nice frothy creaminess but can be omitted if preferred.
- Chilling between layers is essential for distinct separation.
- Store the jello shots in the refrigerator and consume within 2 days for best freshness.
