  • 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)


Instructions

  1. Boil Green Beans: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add green beans and cook for 3-4 minutes until just tender. Drain and transfer to ice water, then drain again.
  2. Sauté Green Beans: Heat olive oil in a skillet, add garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté for 30 seconds. Add green beans, oregano, salt, and pepper. Cook for 4-5 minutes until heated through.
  3. Finish and Serve: Remove from heat, sprinkle with Parmesan and parsley, drizzle with lemon juice if using. Serve warm.
