Description

A refreshing Lemon Lavender Margarita that combines the tartness of fresh lemon juice with the floral sweetness of lavender simple syrup and the smooth kick of tequila blanco. Perfectly balanced with a hint of orange liqueur, this cocktail is an elegant twist on a classic favorite, ideal for a relaxing summer evening or any special occasion.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Margarita

  • 2 oz tequila blanco
  • 1 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 3/4 oz lavender simple syrup
  • 1/2 oz triple sec or orange liqueur
  • Ice cubes

For Garnish

  • Lemon wheel
  • Lavender sprig
  • Salt or sugar for rimming the glass (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the glass: If desired, rim your glass by rubbing lemon juice around the edge and dipping it into salt or sugar to coat. Set the glass aside to let the rim set.
  2. Fill the cocktail shaker: Fill a cocktail shaker with ice to chill the drink properly.
  3. Add ingredients: Pour 2 oz of tequila blanco, 1 oz of fresh lemon juice, 3/4 oz of lavender simple syrup, and 1/2 oz of triple sec or orange liqueur into the shaker.
  4. Shake the cocktail: Close the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until the mixture is well chilled and thoroughly mixed.
  5. Strain and serve: Strain the cocktail into the prepared glass filled with fresh ice cubes to keep the drink cool without dilution.
  6. Garnish: Add a lemon wheel and a sprig of lavender to the drink for an aromatic and attractive finish.

Notes

  • Lavender simple syrup can be made by simmering equal parts sugar and water with dried culinary lavender, then straining and cooling before use.
  • Adjust the sweetness by varying the amount of lavender simple syrup according to taste.
  • Use freshly squeezed lemon juice for the best flavor and brightness.
  • If you prefer a sweeter or more tart margarita, tweak the lemon juice or simple syrup quantities accordingly.
  • For an added twist, try using a smoked salt for rimming or infuse the tequila with lavender beforehand.
