- 6 ounces chocolate chips

- 6 ounces green candy melts
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for mint mixture)

- 1 cup mint M&M’s
- 1 cup Andes chocolate mints
Instructions
- Melt Chocolate Chips: In a large microwave-safe bowl, melt the 6 ounces of chocolate chips by heating in 15-second intervals, stirring well between each interval until smooth and fully melted. Pour 5 cups of Chex cereal into the melted chocolate and stir thoroughly so all pieces are evenly coated. Then add 1 cup of powdered sugar and mix well to ensure an even sweet powdery coating.
- Melt Green Candy Melts: Take another large microwave-safe bowl and carefully melt the 6 ounces of green candy melts by heating in 10-second intervals, stirring after each until completely melted and smooth. Add the remaining 5 cups of Chex cereal to the melted candy melts and stir to coat. Transfer this coated cereal into a large zip-top bag, add 1 cup of powdered sugar, seal the bag tightly, and shake vigorously until the powdered sugar evenly covers the cereal pieces. Alternatively, you can mix and coat this batch in a bowl if preferred.
- Combine and Add Mint Pieces: Combine both coated cereal mixes into one large zip-top bag or divide into two bags if desired. Add 1 cup of mint M&M’s and 1 cup of Andes chocolate mints to the bag(s). Seal tightly and shake thoroughly to mix all ingredients evenly. Refrigerate the snack mix for 10 minutes to let the coating set and enjoy your Mint Chocolate Muddy Buddy!
