Ingredients
Scale
Jello Mixtures
- 3 ounces Orange Jello
- 3 ounces Grape Jello
- 1 ounce Lime Jello
- 3 cups Boiling Water (1 cup per flavor)
- 1 1/2 cups Cold Water (1/2 cup per flavor)
- 1 cup Vanilla Vodka (divided, about 1/3 cup per flavor)
Garnish
- 1 package Gummy Monster Teeth
Instructions
- Boil Water and Dissolve Jello: Boil 1 cup of water for each jello flavor (orange, grape, lime). Once boiling, pour the hot water into separate bowls with the respective jello powders and stir well to completely dissolve the gelatin.
- Add Cold Water and Vodka: To each dissolved jello mixture, add 1/2 cup of cold water and stir until blended. Then, pour in about 1/3 cup of vanilla vodka into each flavor and stir thoroughly to combine the alcohol evenly.
- Fill Shot Glasses: Pour each flavored jello mixture into shot glasses until nearly full. Place the filled shot glasses in the refrigerator and chill for approximately 20 minutes until partially set.
- Insert First Monster Teeth Gummy: Remove the shot glasses from the refrigerator and carefully place one gummy monster teeth candy into each jello shot, pressing gently so it is submerged but still visible.
- Refrigerate to Set: Return the shot glasses to the refrigerator and allow the jello shots to set firmly for at least 4 hours so they achieve the proper gelatin texture.
- Add Second Monster Teeth Gummy on Top: After the jello shots have fully set, place a second gummy monster teeth candy on top of each shot for an eye-catching layered effect.
- Final Chill and Serve: Place the jello shots back in the refrigerator to chill until you are ready to serve. When served, these spooky treats are sure to delight your guests. Enjoy responsibly!
Notes
- Use cold water to cool the jello mixture and prevent it from getting too warm before adding vodka.
- Ensure jello shots have fully set before adding the top gummy teeth to maintain the shape and appearance.
- If you prefer stronger alcohol flavor, adjust the vodka quantity slightly, but be cautious not to compromise the jello’s ability to set.
- For a non-alcoholic version, replace vodka with cold water or fruit juice.
- Chilling time may vary depending on refrigerator temperature; allow additional time if needed.
