Description

A creamy and comforting one-pan chicken noodles recipe featuring tender chicken breasts cooked in a rich garlic-infused sauce with egg noodles, Parmesan cheese, and fresh parsley. Ready in just 30 minutes, this dish is perfect for a quick and satisfying weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale

Chicken and Seasoning

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste

Cooking Liquids and Dairy

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Pasta and Garnish

  • 8 ounces egg noodles
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the chicken: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then cook them for about 5-6 minutes on each side until they develop a golden brown crust and are cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  2. Sauté the garlic: In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté it for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  3. Prepare the sauce base: Pour the chicken broth and heavy cream into the skillet with the garlic and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.
  4. Cook the noodles: Add the egg noodles to the simmering liquid, cover the skillet, and cook for 8-10 minutes or until the noodles are tender and have absorbed some of the sauce.
  5. Finish the dish: Stir in the butter and grated Parmesan cheese until they melt smoothly into the sauce. Return the cooked chicken breasts to the pan to warm through in the creamy sauce.
  6. Garnish and serve: Sprinkle fresh parsley over the dish before serving for a burst of color and freshness.

Notes

  • You can substitute heavy cream with half-and-half for a lighter version, but the sauce will be less rich.
  • For extra flavor, consider adding Italian seasoning or crushed red pepper flakes when sautéing garlic.
  • Make sure not to overcook the noodles to avoid them becoming mushy.
  • Parmesan cheese adds a salty, nutty flavor—use freshly grated for the best taste.
  • Leftovers can be refrigerated and reheated gently on the stovetop or microwave.
