Description

This luscious Pumpkin Pie Dip is a creamy, spiced dessert dip perfect for fall gatherings. Combining smooth cream cheese, whipped cream, pumpkin pie filling, and warm pumpkin pie spices, it creates a sweet and flavorful treat best served chilled with graham crackers or apple slices.

Ingredients

Scale

Base

  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 2 cups heavy cream (35%)

Sweeteners and Flavorings

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup confectioners’ sugar
  • 2 tbsp dry vanilla instant pudding mix
  • 1 can pumpkin pie filling
  • 2 tbsp pumpkin pie spice
  • ¼ tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Chill Equipment: Place a large mixing bowl and beaters inside the freezer for 10 minutes to chill, which helps to whip the cream more effectively.
  2. Beat Cream Cheese: In a separate small bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until it’s smooth and free of lumps. Set aside for later use.
  3. Whip Cream Mixture: Remove the chilled mixing bowl from the freezer and add heavy cream, granulated sugar, confectioners’ sugar, and dry vanilla pudding mix. Beat the mixture on medium-high speed until soft peaks form, approximately 3 to 4 minutes.
  4. Combine Ingredients: Gently beat in the smooth cream cheese, pumpkin pie filling, pumpkin pie spice, and salt into the whipped cream mixture. Continue beating until all ingredients are well incorporated and the dip is smooth.
  5. Chill Dip: Cover the bowl tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight. This allows flavors to meld and the dip to firm up.
  6. Serve: Serve the Pumpkin Pie Dip chilled with graham crackers and apple slices for dipping, making it perfect for parties or cozy fall nights.
  7. Store: Keep any leftovers in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Notes

  • For best texture, ensure the cream cheese is fully softened before beating.
  • Using chilled equipment for whipping the cream helps achieve better volume and peaks.
  • You can adjust the amount of pumpkin pie spice to taste for more or less warmth.
  • This dip is great as a make-ahead dessert because it requires chilling time.
  • Serve with a variety of dippers like ginger snaps, vanilla wafers, or fresh fruit slices besides graham crackers and apples.
