Description

This classic Vanilla Milkshake recipe combines creamy vanilla ice cream with milk and a touch of vanilla extract, blended to silky perfection. Topped with whipped cream and rainbow sprinkles on a white chocolate-coated rim, it’s a delightful treat perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale

Milkshake

  • 3 cups vanilla ice cream
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup white chocolate chips

Garnish

  • Rainbow sprinkles
  • Whipped cream

Instructions

  1. Prepare the glass rims: Melt the white chocolate chips in the microwave in 30 to 60 second intervals until mostly melted and smooth. Meanwhile, pour a generous amount of rainbow sprinkles into a shallow wide bowl.
  2. Coat the rims: Dip the rims of each glass into the melted white chocolate, covering all around, then immediately dip into the bowl of rainbow sprinkles to coat the white chocolate completely. Set the glasses aside to let the coating set.
  3. Combine ingredients: Add the milk and vanilla extract to your blender, followed by the vanilla ice cream.
  4. Blend the milkshake: Blend on high for 15 to 30 seconds until the mixture is smooth and creamy with no ice cream chunks remaining.
  5. Serve: Pour the milkshake into the prepared glasses. Top with a swirl of whipped cream and sprinkle additional rainbow sprinkles on top before serving immediately.

Notes

  • For an extra thick milkshake, use less milk or add more ice cream.
  • You can substitute the white chocolate chips with milk or dark chocolate if preferred.
  • If you don’t have a blender, you can mix vigorously with a whisk, but texture won’t be as smooth.
  • Use full-fat vanilla ice cream for the creamiest results.
  • To make it dairy-free, substitute with plant-based ice cream and milk alternatives.
