Description

A flavorful and easy-to-make Szechuan Chicken dish featuring tender chicken pieces sautéed with colorful bell peppers, onion, broccoli, and a savory Yoshida’s Original Gourmet Sauce, served over linguine noodles for a satisfying meal ready in just 30 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale

Pasta

  • 1/2 pound linguine noodles
  • 1 Tablespoon butter

Chicken and Vegetables

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch pieces (seasoned with a pinch of salt and pepper)
  • 1 Tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small yellow onion, chopped
  • 1 small green bell pepper, diced (seeds and ribs removed)
  • 1 small red bell pepper, diced (seeds and ribs removed)
  • 1 cup broccoli florets, cooked or steamed

Sauce and Seasoning

  • 1 cup Yoshida’s Original Gourmet Sauce
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika

Instructions

  1. Cook Linguine Noodles: Bring a medium pot of water to a boil and cook the linguine noodles according to package directions until al dente. While the noodles are boiling, proceed with cooking the chicken.
  2. Cook Chicken: In a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat, melt the butter. Add the seasoned chicken pieces and cook, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and no longer pink inside, about 12 minutes. Remove the cooked chicken from the skillet and place on a large plate; cover with foil to keep warm.
  3. Sauté Vegetables: In the same skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and diced green and red bell peppers. Cook and stir until the vegetables are soft and tender.
  4. Add Chicken and Sauce: Return the cooked chicken to the skillet with the sautéed vegetables. Pour in the Yoshida’s Original Gourmet Sauce, add the minced garlic and paprika. Stir well to combine. Reduce heat to low and let the mixture simmer gently for about 5 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly and the flavors to meld. Stir in the cooked broccoli florets just before finishing.
  5. Combine with Noodles and Serve: Once the linguine noodles are cooked and drained, add them to the chicken and vegetable mixture in the skillet. Gently toss everything together to combine. Serve the Szechuan Chicken and noodles in individual bowls hot and enjoy your flavorful meal!

Notes

  • Use freshly minced garlic for best flavor.
  • You can steam the broccoli florets while the noodles are cooking to save time.
  • Adjust the amount of Yoshida’s sauce to taste if you prefer more or less saucy dishes.
  • For a spicier dish, consider adding chili flakes or Szechuan peppercorns.
  • Make sure not to overcook the chicken to keep it tender and juicy.
