Ingredients
Scale
Turkey Roll Ups
- 4 boneless, skinless turkey breast cutlets
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (optional)
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Stuffing
- 1 box stuffing mix
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
Instructions
- Prepare the stuffing: In a bowl, combine the stuffing mix, chicken broth, and melted butter. Stir until the stuffing is moistened and well combined. Set aside.
- Preheat oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish to prevent sticking.
- Season the turkey: Season both sides of the turkey cutlets evenly with garlic powder, dried thyme, salt, and pepper for balanced flavor.
- Assemble the roll-ups: Place a spoonful of prepared stuffing in the center of each turkey cutlet. If desired, add shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the stuffing. Carefully roll up each cutlet tightly around the stuffing to form a neat roll.
- Place in baking dish: Arrange the turkey roll-ups seam side down in the greased baking dish to keep them sealed during baking.
- Bake: Bake the roll-ups in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until the turkey is cooked through and the stuffing is heated. For a golden brown finish, broil for an additional 2-3 minutes if desired.
- Serve: Garnish with chopped parsley for freshness and serve with your favorite side dishes.
Notes
- Make sure turkey is fully cooked to an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- Use a toothpick to secure roll-ups if needed before baking.
- For extra moisture, baste the roll-ups with some pan juices halfway through baking.
- Substitute mozzarella with cheddar or your preferred cheese.
- If you want to reduce fat, omit the cheese or use a low-fat version.
- The stuffing mix can be homemade or store-bought, adjust chicken broth accordingly.
